Hand made in the USA, the King 3B is noted as the typical jazz trombone. The higher register is easier than ever to perform with an accurate and brilliant sound due to the small .508'' bore. Similar to other professional jazz trombones, the 8'' yellow brass bell found on the King 3B provides a warm and clear tone, making it very versatile. For additional tonal warmth, the trombone is finished with a bright clear lacquer. The 3B looks more professional than ever due to the newly designed hand engraving on the bell and the vintage three-piece balancer.
Even when King instruments were first produced in 1894, the instrument was hailed for its smooth and light slide action. From that point on, new skills and technology have only made king trombones better. The chrome plated nickel silver tubing makes for a lightweight slide, offering the player huge technical versatility on quicker passages of music.
As well as the trombone, the 3B includes a luxury black hard case designed for the King trombone to fit in securely. This makes transporting the instrument to concerts and rehearsals very easy. Also included is a King mouthpiece which is manufactured to the specifications of the trombone. It plays freely and easily in the higher register and produces a beautiful and rich tone.
The first King trombone was developed in 1894 and was a revelation to the music world. King had a reputation for engineering the best trombone slides, making them smoother, finer and lighter than any other trombone. Today, King use their musical heritage to continue to set high standards for modern day trombones, combining both traditional techniques and modern-day processes into every instrument.
