But these aren't just normal Strat pickups, no, they include two funky features to bring your playing to life. Firstly, a treble bleed circuit maintains those highs at lower volumes, and secondly, a pickup blending option introduces new and exciting sounds. Custom Shop have created a trio of hand-wound single coils that offer an excellent tonality that is packed with expression. From shimmering highs to rich twangy lows, once again Fender has achieved a wide dynamic range. But what makes this Postmodern unique is the addition of a treble bleed circuit and the 1/2 blender wiring.
Retain a crisp articulation and all of your high-end detail, even when playing at lower volumes, with the treble bleed circuit. And thanks to the ingenuous wiring, you are able to cut your volume and clean up your signal without losing any nuance in your playing. Additionally, the blender wiring introduces the bridge pickup into positions one and two for a thicker and fuller tone that exudes tonnes of presence. Discover new sounds and styles of playing.
Despite its vintage look, this guitar still has a feel and playability that can match any of the latest models. The rift-sawn maple neck and nitrocellulose lacquer finish offers a reliability and smoothness, ensuring that gliding between frets is fast and effortless. And thanks to the addition of its 1959 D-profile, this Strat is packed with a vintage character and comfort.
The compound radius of the fingerboard offers a flatter surface towards the top end, allowing you to go wild with adventurous licks and string bends. And to accompany you with your difficult-to-perform chords, the fingerboard curves sharper at the nut, providing your hand with plenty of room. Of course, this is all takes place on a sleek, round-laminated rosewood board, which is a delight to manoeuvre around.
Equipped with a vintage style Custom Shop Synchronised tremolo bridge and a set of vintage tuners, this Postmodern ensures you’re going to play to your best of the best.
