Roland Analog Polysynth Collection Software Instrument Bundle is comprised of five of the world's most revered synthesizers Roland has ever produced, in stunning plug-in format. Brought to life by proprietary ACB (analog circuit behaviour) component level modelling, this collection of historic Roland synthesizers delivers the exact tone, response and behaviour as the hardware counterparts. Each interaction, nuance and instability has been accurately replicated to produce the most authentic sonic experience possible.
Harking back to the glory days of analog synthesizers, this collection of Roland Polysynths includes the Jupiter-8, Jupiter-4, Juno-60, Juno-106 and JX-3P. Each with its own distinctive flavour, you can channel the sounds of the late '70s through to the mid-'80s with unrivalled accuracy. Bolstering upgraded feature sets such as improved polyphony, additional FX and expanded arpeggiators, the Roland Analog Polysynth Collection is the ultimate bundle for producers, musicians and mixing engineers.
Offering full compatibility as a Plug-Out in a range of Roland hardware, you can take your sounds with you wherever you go with on-the-fly preset adjustments. Released in 1978, the JUPITER-4 was Roland’s first polyphonic synthesizer and the first to carry the JUPITER name. Technologically brilliant and sonically immaculate, the beautiful, mystical tones the Jupiter-4 was capable of were monumental in emerging styles of synth-pop in the late '70s and early '80s. Powered by a single VCO, the combination of extended oscillator, smooth and defined analog filters and tempo-sync LFO create an amalgamation of thick, warm tones. Revolutionary for the time, the ethereal sounds of the Jupiter-4 are enhanced with the inclusion of the luscious Ensemble chorus. onboard effects for creative expression.
Unlike vintage synthesizers, you can dive into the inner mechanics of the Jupiter-4 without the risk of damage. The onboard Circuit Mod feature lets you adjust internal trim pots, drifting parameters out of spec or back where they belong. This powerful feature offers you the chance to create a customised version of the Jupiter-4 synth that nobody else has, carving a sonic signature for you and your productions. Working in conjunction with the Condition parameter to simulate the effect of ageing on a component, you can dial in everything from fresh-out-the-box rigidity to road-worn instability with the turn of a single dial.
From ground-shaking basses to cosmic leads, the Jupiter-8 is a playground of experimentation for musicians, offering powerful oscillators and advanced modulation arranged in an intuitive layout. The possibilities are endless thanks to the inclusion of 16 individual analog oscillators and classic resonant filters that allow your creativeness to flow. Whilst staying true to the original, Roland Cloud has incorporated some new features to further expand your toolset. Now included is an onboard reverb as well as a tempo-syncing delay, perfect for sculpting sounds. The oscillator range has been extended, providing a more diverse tonal palette.
One of the most unique features introduced, is the ability to change the condition of the synth’s circuitry. Using the hardware synth, over time the synth’s circuitry would age, resulting in varied sound when used over long periods. Using the condition knob you can emulate these tonal changes, switching from a clean and pristine sound to a more varied ‘broken in’ setting.
Helping to define the sound of the '80s, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument delivers the unmistakable character of vintage Roland synthesizers to your DAW. Capable of producing fat, punchy analog sounds through a formula of a single DCO, sub-oscillator and characterful VCF, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument gives you indistinguishable, hi-fi and inspiring tones to level up your music production. Staying faithful to the original hardware, all of the quirks and charming limitations have been accurately modelled as well as enhancing the functionality with the addition of modern features. Now, you can switch the high-pass filter circuit to switch up the tone and shift the bass bump for a unique sound as well as the addition of an extended oscillator range and even an additional envelope. Where the hardware counterpart was limited to six voices of polyphony, the Juno-60 Virtual instrument can expand up to eight voices for more complex tones and harmonies within your sound. Much like the original, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument features two modes plus a third secret mode that can be accessed by pressing both buttons at once. Meticulously designed, the chorus circuit delivers an indistinguishable sound from the original to capture the essence of the Juno-60 hardware synth.
Taking in its stride all manner of sounds, the JX-3P Virtual Instruments component-level replication of the original gives you all the tools to spark your creative fire. Featuring the original JX-3P Chorus, this virtual instrument spares no expense in ensuring you can create luscious textures, space and modulation in your music while paying homage to the lineage of popular songs that used this in the past. Synthesizers helped shape a new generation of musicians and music lovers, the JX-3P aims to continue this trend by letting you experience first-hand the ground-breaking sound of the '80s in plug-in format. The inclusion of the PG-200 programmer gives you all the options available to adjust parameters and sounds without time-consuming barriers like menu-diving in a way that can stifle your creativity. From classic euphoric strings to crushing metallic pads, hear why the JX-3P helped spearhead the emerging popularity of synthesizers.
Regarded for its powerful analog sound and versatile programmability, the Juno-106 Virtual Instrument faithfully recreates the classic polysynth for the digital age. Whilst staying true to the original design, the programmers at Roland couldn't help but add some highly requested features including LFO, VCF, VCA, and effects sections, as well as an arpeggiator. With up to eight voices of polyphony (six when set to default mode) combined with the Roland 80017A VCF/VCA integrated circuit, this software synth will enrich your sound palette and drive your inspiration to new levels.
Two adjustable envelopes are also included as well as a tempo-syncing arpeggiator for expansive sound design and sequencing capabilities. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of new presets as well as the original factory tones, perfect for capturing inspiration when it strikes. The powerful digitally controlled oscillators deliver vintage analog warmth and grit, capturing the vintage tones of the mid-80s. The legendary Juno stereo chorus effect is also included, perfect for creating massive full-bodied sounds. From vintage-style techno basses to soaring leads, the Juno-106 has it all.
Helping to shape the very fabric of musical genres, the instruments in the Roland Polysynth collection have appeared in more chart-topping hits than you can count. The impact of these instruments cannot be overstated, continuing to rise in popularity through the decades with musicians looking to their vintage flair to this very date. Recreated in exact terms, the instruments included in this bundle are indistinguishable from the originals with a wide range of modern appointments to extend functionality and flexibility for the current producer, musician and engineer.
The Roland Analog Polysynth Collection features the latest generation of the renowned Analog Circuit Behaviour (ACB) technology. Modelling on a component level using historic data, circuit diagrams and original hardware units, ACB technology was developed specifically to enable the user to authentically recreate the sound and behaviour of classic analog synthesizers. These virtual instruments feature the most advanced ACB engine yet, with decades of research into the science of sound and synthesis at their disposal. The ACB engine provides expressive and diverse sound with incredibly realistic characteristics, allowing you to create a wide range of tones from classic analog-style pads and basses to dynamic lead synths and other-worldly textures, ideal for the avid sound designer.
The Roland Analog Polysynth Collection offers full compatibility as a Plug-out that can be hosted in a range of Roland hardware like the System-8. This seamless integration opens up a whole new world of available options and potential with your virtual instruments. Transfer sounds back and forth between the hardware and the software to carry your sounds with you anywhere you go and update your presets on the fly. Hands-on interaction of any automation parameters will let you produce without ever needing to touch a computer. Due to the rarity of vintage synthesizers, the Roland Polysynth Collection is the ultimate companion for touring and studio musicians looking for the classic Roland sound in an affordable and portable package.
