Regarded for its powerful analog sound and versatile programmability, the Juno-106 Virtual Instrument faithfully recreates the classic polysynth for the digital age. Whilst staying true to the original, the virtual instrument version features a range of improvements, enhancements and new features. For instance, the polyphony have been increased to eight voices, whilst still allowing you to keep it old school and limit it to six for a classic feel.
Two adjustable envelopes are also included as well as a tempo-syncing arpeggiator for expansive sound design and sequencing capabilities. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of new presets as well as the original factory tones, perfect for capturing inspiration when it strikes. There is also a selection skins to try out including the classic and System-8 layouts.
The powerful digitally controlled oscillators deliver vintage analog warmth and grit, capturing the vintage tones of the mid-80s. The legendary Juno stereo chorus effect is also included, perfect for creating massive full-bodied sounds. From vintage-style techno basses to soaring leads, the Juno-106 has it all.
In-depth integration is available using the Plug-Out format allowing you to use Roland’s System-8 hardware synth. From here, the parameters are mapped automatically to System-8’s controls. Unlike the scarcely available hardware version of the Juno-106, the virtual instrument version doesn’t require frequency tune-ups and costly maintenance. You can also use the plugin alongside the Roland Boutique JU-06/JU-06 A for hands-on control.
