Whether you’re looking for emotive strings or iconic guitar sounds, the JV-1080 embodies the classic sound of PCM sampled waveforms, providing a diverse sound bank that is suitable for virtually any genre. The original synth was renowned for its ability to mimic acoustic instruments with rich tonality. At the heart of the JV-1080 software synthesizer is deeply programmable, providing you with a range of tools for sound sculpting and creation.

The JV-1080 features two LFOs and an in-depth modulation matrix complete with premium-quality effects that allow you to truly take control. You can also edit preset sounds and create your own using the wide range of PCM waveforms on offer.

Expanded tools, modulation and waveforms

Whilst staying true to the original, Roland Cloud has incorporated a range of enhancements and expansions including over 1,000 waveforms to choose from (the original has 448). The MFX types have also been expanded, from 40 to 78 presets including new reverb and chorus algorithms. The polyphony of the synth has also been doubled, as well as including two additional time-variant low-pass filters, a step LFO and improved Matrix Control functions.

The eye-catching GUI (graphic user interface) provides you with full graphical control of all parameters, providing a hands-on feel from the comfort of your computer. The JV-1080 truly encapsulates the sound of the 90s and takes it further, upgrading it for the modern era.
