Yamaha YDS Digital Wind Synthesizer Package Overview
The Yamaha YDS Digital Wind Synthesizer package is ideal for players who want quiet, flexible saxophone-style performance at home or on the go. With 73 built-in voices ? including baritone, tenor, alto, and soprano sax samples ? you can switch up your sound at any time. A built-in breath sensor helps control tone and volume naturally, while the standard saxophone fingering makes it easy to play straight out the box.
Volume isn?t an issue either. Whether you?re in a quiet household or sharing a flat, you can use the 15-step volume control or plug in headphones for silent practice. There's also a dedicated app to fine-tune settings like altissimo fingering, breath response, and effects. You can even plug in external audio or record via USB.

You can enjoy the full range of voices and performance detail in complete privacy, or adjust volume to match your space.
Custom settings via app
The YDS Controller app gives you full control over how your instrument behaves. Change voices, fine-tune tuning, adjust breath resistance, and save your preferences. You can even customise fingerings, which is great for advanced techniques like altissimo playing. It’s all designed to help you play your way, more easily.
