Professional series

The Yamaha YSL-600 series tenor trombones are built for use in high level ensembles and performances, making them perfect for pro players or advanced students. Drawing on masses of experience in the production of brass instruments, Yamaha are able to construct perfectly rounded tubing for the smoothest possible airflow through the instrument, making the trombone incredibly easy blowing.

Their precision engineering also allows for effortless slide action, which massively increases the playability of the trombone. Using a high energy laser, Yamaha can produce a practically seamless two-piece bell, giving the instrument a well-defined tonal core. From start to finish, this trombone was designed and built with professional players in mind.

Rotary F-trigger

The YSL-640 comes equipped with a hand-lapped rotary valve, attaching to an F-loop. The airtight, light action of the valve allows for quick and smooth valve switching, allowing you to easily change the fundamental down by a major fourth. This gives the instrument access to a lower register, as well as alternate positions for many notes, which allows for easier traversal of quick passages.

Included extras

The YSL-640 comes included with a Yamaha 48 small shank mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is designed for precise intonation and excellent blowing control. Also included is a professional quality Yamaha SLC-410 hard carry case.
