The Strymon Deco v2 Tape Saturation Pedal is one of the few existing pedals that can provide such a wide array of sonic capabilities, without sacrificing any of the tonal quality whatsoever. It starts with the Tape Saturation, which gives you a warm, smooth analogue tape-like sound with fantastic transparency at low outputs and a rich low end.
If you're looking for any additional tape drive alongside some dynamic compression, simply increase the saturation. Highly responsive to the dynamics of your playing, you can control the Tape Saturation through the saturation knob, which is accompanied by volume and tone knobs. For an old-school, two-track mastering reel-to-reel tape sound, you can choose the classic setting, whereas the cassette setting will give you a more compressed, thick tone with an excellent response.
On the other side of the pedal, you'll find the Doubletracker. This replicates the sound of one of the most important inventions in music production history. Doubletracking brought effects such as echo, flange and chorus into the world and changed the way people recorded music for ever. You can intensify your sound with a spacious chorus, whirling tape flanging and classic slapback echo by altering the lag time knob.
If you're looking for a modulative sound, the wobble control ranges from subtle to extreme and everything in between. The blend control works to set the mix level between Deco's Lag Deck and the Reference Deck. The three-way selector between sum, invert and bounce alter whether or not the pedal decks are in phase (sum), the lag deck is phase inverted (invert), or the right lag deck is bounced to left input for mono double echo or stereo ping-pong (bounce).
The Strymon Deco v2 Tape Saturation Pedal is equipped with full MIDI implementation so you can control the pedal by sending MIDI commands through a DAW or any other USB-C connection. The additional tonal options provided by the v2 allow you to exercise your creativity to its full extent, for an awe-inspiring performance. Featuring a premium analogue JFET input circuit, this pedal is more responsive to the dynamics of your playing than ever before - and allows you to select a mono or stereo input by simply flicking a switch on the rear panel.
The Strymon Deco v2 Tape Saturation Pedal is manufactured by some of the leading experts in guitar effects engineering at Strymon, and it shows as soon as you plug in and play. The true/buffered bypass gives you the option between a true, untouched and completely unprocessed signal as the default setting when the pedal is bypassed. Or, you can opt for the buffered bypass, which alters the signal to maintain its integrity by stopping any high-end roll of that occurs.
Built not just for the stage, but also the studio - the Strymon Deco v2 Tape Saturation Pedal is perfect for any setting. Equipped with a studio mode, you'll have access to 10dB of additional headroom - this allows the Deco v2 to become perfectly compatible with bass guitars, synthesizers keyboards and more.
